MashRunner

Track and Field type game, similar to NES era. 

Controls are simple, alternate between Right Arrow and Left Arrow as fast as you can to beat the other runner. Once the race is finished, the game will wait 5 seconds and restart.

Press Alt+F4 to exit.

This project is similar to the QuickDraw game on my profile. This is just to get my head around UE5 and uploaded here as a log of my development journey.

Things learnt in this game;

Sound - footsteps added on frames to simulate sound of running.

Flipbooks - Running animation set to flip book.

Curve Float - Used to display acceleration/deceleration in runner rather than run full speed then stop immediately.

Trigger on collision - End goal sprite change upon collision with player.
